All in a day's work...

I'm opening my blog this morning to report that Julie is running her 9th Nike Half-marathon in San Francisco. What a difference a year makes. Last year she carried my grand baby with her. The year before that she wondered if she would ever HAVE a baby of her own. So this morning I'm sure she crawled out of bed, tip-toe into Isabella's room,  wiggled her finger across a sleeping baby cheek and whispered something like, "Okay, Baby Girl, I'll see you at the finish line. Wish me luck! I love you!"

I just checked the weather. It's 39 and foggy here; 59 and cloudy in San Francisco. Great weather for a half-marathon. Still tough for Julie. Said she didn't train. I know that feeling. I also know Julie. She'll get 'er done. She's a triathlete, has two marathons under her belt, is a charter Nike runner, plus several other half-marathons with Team in Training. Seeing Bobby and Isabella at the finish line will make it all worth while. Oh, and that Tiffany charm Nike awards to all finishers won't hurt. You go, Girl!
